The Mitsubishi Motors Corporation is doing their part to help stop the spread of COVID-19 infections. Starting in late April, they started producing about 1,500 face shields per month to donate to medical institutions in Japan.
The city of Ozaki was one of the first beneficiaries of this face shield initiative. MMC has also begun producing face shields for a hospital in Minokamo City, Gifu Prefecture, and are currently planning to ramp up production across the country.
Of course, MMC’s COVID-19 precautions aren’t limited to just overseas. They are also ensuring that their dealerships in the United States are taking extra safety precautions to protect each and every customer. Hampton Mitsubishi in Lafayette, Louisiana, is one such dealership, and we are continuing to take the necessary steps to stop the spread.
On top of limiting person-to-person contact at the dealership during transactions when possible, Hampton Mitsubishi is making sure they keep their dealership sanitized by regularly cleaning high-traffic areas and surfaces like counters, doorknobs, and pens. They even sanitize each vehicle after a test drive.
Since handwashing is so important to stop the spread of COVID-19, the dealership offers hand sanitizer to customers, as well as access to traditional hand-washing facilities. That way if customers can’t avoid contact with surfaces, they are able to stay safe in the dealership.
